'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
